Hey lovely readers: I’m doing what I said I would do, and apart from an interruption to look after a very frail and poorly old lady, I am printing and photographing and printing and developing continuously throughout and until the end of March. I’ll be doing a stock-taking and taking-stock exercise around the first few days of April, so no firm decision on the giving-up-photography thing before then. If I do stop, it will be with a proper set or three or four of decent prints and some self-published books, so at least there’ll be something to show for all this time and money and sweat and tears. Not to mention the blood.
You, yes you, will be the first to know.
I took this picture as one of a series of sketches for a project long in planning: it’s from Olwen Williams‘ studio at the Biscuit Tin in Newcastle. It says something about her, and something about me. That’s all we ask, I think.
