It should be pretty simple to prise the two halves of the cardboard apart, is it not? There isn't going to be any glue on the actual film, if it's been done properly, in a lab. But why do you want to change them? Cardboard is much better: you can write on it, it's quieter in the projector carrier, and above all, it's sustainable. Glad to be of help.
