New Work for Kalapremi Festival

music and movement

Lovely grainy film, the result of pushing it to make something of the low light, and the sunny saturation of Agfa Vista. No more of that film anywhere, it seems, except my fridge. Prints are ordered, and if they’re good, all will be well. There have been a few rather poor mail order prints recently. When poor prints are available from Asda for pennies, it’s hard to see why the big suppliers can’t easily compete on quality.

song and dance

The Printspace in Shoreditch have a C41 service including printing on metallic paper. It’s not likely to work within this time frame, but a couple of sets would be fab in any case, for sale.

What’s Kalapremi? They’re a South Asian arts organisation, based at the Lamplight Centre in Stanhope Stanley. Their 17th annual Ganesh Festival is on Saturday 19th September, all day. There’ll be dance, and song, theatre and more song, and elephants of course! Fabulous food too, breakfast and lunch. And some curated work on exhibit, including either these, or another quite different pair. Maybe, just maybe, all four of them.

Come along! It will be a fantastic day. They’re taking bookings right now: 01207 218899.
