Re-instating Delicio.us Links

Have found a couple of WordPress Plugins that will create a post collecting a batch of delicio.us links to the photographic practice type things I’ve been reading. Not sure how it will work exactly, so this is just an experiment.  If you want to have a go yourself, we’re using Postalicious with Simple Pie Core. Last time we tried doing this a couple of years ago it was all a bit kludgy looking, but the back end is now far easier to configure and apart from a few titling tweaks here and there, this is looking useful.

The Plugins create the posts in draft form, so I can choose to tidy up, check spelling and actually post or not post, which is a big improvement. Set to create a post when 10 delicio.us links have been bookmarked, this is the content automagically generated this morning:

Finds for September 18th from 02:22 to 09:33:

The tags I’ll be using are delicio.us and finds. There’s also a Finds category from a time way back when I was using a piece of code written or adapted by @peteashton*. Confusing, I know. The WordPress system has come a long way in 400+ posts. The categories/tags architecture here could definitely do with a clean broom.

* the potentially handy Twitter Link plugin installed to automatically convert twitter @usernames to links doesn’t seem to work, and isn’t listed on the developer’s website. It does! Just needed a refresh. Great.
