Never a Dawkins fan, his absolutism has always seemed too dogmatic for my more agnostic view of life as we know it, but I do admire his style. Who hasn’t had hatemail? Some of mine has been an absolute hoot. The stuff from Lawrence Windrush’s fanboys adoring fan was pretty much like this.

I watched those recent Darwin programs and this bit made me chuckle especially “I hope you get hit by a church van”. I do agree with his position but he isn’t he best ambassador for it sometimes, getting right up people’s noses - even the people who agree with him.

Hatemail is always pretty funny though, isn’t it? It’s like road rage, a world away, but you get to imagine the red-faced frothing instead of having to look at it.
