WordCampUK venue: Aston University

Watching the evolution of decisions about the hows and wherefores on the Wiki is interesting in itself. The venue is what looks to be a new version of the old Business School building in the middle of the Aston Triangle campus. The Triangle was so called after an extremely expensive iteration of The University’s logo and a big pointy metal sculpture that sat on the green patch opposite the Arts Lab, or was it the other way around? The real name for the area that surrounds that patch of grass is Gosta Green.

Happy days. Well, some of them. The bar in the Business School had a sign that read ‘WE DON’T SERVE WOMEN – YOU HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN.’ Took us months and months to get it removed. We’d no sense of humour, apparently.

WordCamp UK is 19th and 20th July 2008. Coming along?
