Uses for Layer Masks: Peter Kennard

Kennard

Having learned how to do this stuff recently, and it’s a quite straightforward technique, laborious and tricky to do really well, I keep seeing it everywhere. There must be a repository of pictures intended to make us think again, or smile with recognition and so on. Adbusters is one I linked to earlier, and this is from a collection at Art of the State. It’s Peter Kennard, who has been making this kind of thing for years. It’s in a collection exhibited at Santa’s ghetto in 2006, and found via Lord Patel.
