    These are lovely brenda – really poignant and evocative of that off-season coastal Britain we all know. My favouurite is the middle picture – I think the texture of the metal is wonderful, as is the perspective. I’m assuming it’s the NE coast (which I love BTW) and that this is some kind of railway (?)

    It is a really gorgeous chunk of metal, yes. And you know what they say about light: photograph only before 10am and at dusk. I think this was about 3,30am.

    It’s a chunk of decaying industry, yes, near Hartlepool. There’s a pier and everything, wonderful deserted place.
