The Artists Information Company

Have just subscribed to the Artists Information Company, based in Pink Lane in Newcastle, since I’ve come to the inevitable conclusion that collaboration and networking is absolutely vital. And apart from that, I’m thinking it would be good to be involved in the local arts scene, whatever that means. Will keep you posted.

If there is such a thing as a ‘local scene’ in Newcastle or the North East in terms of photography please let me know.

    I’ll definitely keep a lookout. :)

Maybe there are just people who know each other, and people who don’t. Since I’m one of the people who doesn’t know anybody, I thought I could probably do with fixing that, sharpish.

Will mail you some schwag in the next batch. :)

I’ve recently joined this group too – so far I’ve been very impressed with the material they produce.

Since I’m one of the people who doesn’t know anybody…

Now that really does surprise me. Especially with the course your attending and that you always seem to be out and about at different shows and what not.

Can you fix it? I know a B that can!

Yeah, I know lots of students and a few part-time photographers, but really only 3 or 4 pros and perhaps two artisty people. But you’re right, that’s not nobody, and I am working on it. :)

Same David who emailed you for schwag? Yep that’s me :)

Perhaps some of us need to start our own photo/artsy co-operative? That said I would have absolutely no bloody idea how to do that. Need to think about it. (wonders . . . if the Biscuit Factory have any basement rooms (oops, I mean studios) available to rent still). Thoughts thoughts thoughts . . .will get back to you when the foggy thinking lifts.
