blue hour and the piper

Sage Gateshead: blue hour

piper: blue hour

piper2: blue hour

This time of year, when the leaves turn and the nights draw in, is so utterly fab for photography. Tonight, the unexpected skirl of the pipes over the Tyne, was such a perfect aural accompaniement to the magnificent blues of the waning dusk. Tourist photos, snapshots for pleasure: we all need to switch off occasionally. But damn, I so wish I’d had that SB with me. Ah well.

A 60th at f/1.4 should you be interested in such things, and hand held. No post processing, there hasn’t been time.
