We are lucky enough to have Alex Telfer get really involved with our college work, including setting and giving feedback on projects. It was really useful to meet him, have an in depth insight into his business, a critique of the photographs and a browse around his magnificent converted-church studio in Byker.
This isn’t Alex, it’s the engineer who makes the Tyne’s Swing Bridge go around. I looked at the photos again today for the first time since I printed them. Already nostalgic for the colour darkroom, nevertheless I’ve experimented with Lightroom’s web function and here’s a selection of the rest. Desaturated them a tad too much. Have slider, will slide.
The top tip from Alex’s retoucher, did you ask? History brush! So now we know.
