metonymic [2]

silkcut

Thanks to Ian for flagging up David Lodge’s novel Nice Work in the comments on metonymic.

After a hefty trawl around the internet, I still haven’t found this photographer’s name, although the 1980s Silk Cut campaign made Paul Arden and Saatchi. More interesting is a piece called Eros to Thanatos by the Scots Quaker and social activist Alastair McIntosh. He needs to blog, then we could RSS his writing and read him on a regular basis. And as another aside, the bottom feeders in the advertising pool call this one ’silk cunt’.
