proper slide film showings, with a proper projector

Staites rooftops

The great debate about whether slide film is really worth all that messing about with mounts and how difficult it is to expose it correctly, and where to get it developed* rumbles on and on. The plans a few of us had to make a proper old fashioned slide show evening, complete with bits of cheese and pineapple on sticks, somewhat a la Abigail’s Party, is only dependent on setting a date that we can all make.
If you’d like in on an afternoon of slide-shows, without computers of any kind, please make yourself known by commenting or similar.

Meanwhile, it snowed properly and with gusto today. One inch at 7am had mostly melted by teatime, apart from some architectural shapes on rooftops and on the magnificent mounds and ziggurats at Dalton Park. Just marking the day, the negs will go for dev tomorrow.

* vouchers from 7 day shop for E6 or Spectrum any minilab for C41 work rather well for me.

Swing Bridge lanternhouse

The A24 backs for 220 film to fit the Hasselblad seem like a good idea, and cheap. An easier way of managing some initial shots for the ‘Sense of Place’ project for Alex Telfer. And that’s a different ‘Sense of Place’ project than the one for Northern Exposure. Confused? Not yet.

legacy photographs and duplication

Wondering if there really is an issue with that, website-wise. This one was taken in July last year sometime, on my Zenit 11, with the Helios f/2 and probably some of that Konica vx100. I like it better than most of the street stuff I took last year. Posed is the new candid.
